A
certain someone asked me today when I was gonna blog again. Truthfully? I haven't thought too much about it lately. I still read for the most part, but rarely comment. I don't know, I guess I've just gotten so much out of the habit that it's hard to start again. But, just to pacify Steve, I'll do a "quickie". Again, that's for Steve.
So, last time I blogged, I had met someone knew and we were dating. And...we still are. Except, now he's actually considered the boyfriend. And...he's still awesome. The more I learn about him, the more I like him.
He's met most of my close friends and they all really like him. That? Is a good thing. A very good thing. He also got the pleasure of meeting my parents a couple of weeks ago and, although we were at a crawfish boil and there were lots of people there, they were able to get to know him a little bit. And? Like him.
This past weekend he took me to meet his parents. I was stupid nervous. I don't get nervous too often, but I really was. I had no need to be. They loved me!!! I mean, how could you not, right? I also get along great with his brother and sister and both of his roommates. So, all in all, things with us? They are good. Real good.
Summer is almost here, so I'm looking forward to spending more time with him since Kaylie will be spending more time with her dad and Alyssa already spends every other week with hers.
Speaking of Alyssa's dad, I am this close to finally being divorced!!! I am hoping that by the end of June it will be final. Hoping!! And then I am gonna have myself a divorce party!!!!!!!
I don't have too much else going on in my life right now. Kaylie is finishing up 2nd grade and, this Friday, Haley graduates from Kindergarten. Which makes me so sad. Those babies are growing up. Thankfully, Alyssa has a couple more years before she starts school.
Well, maybe I will post more often. Maybe not. I don't know. I can't promise anything. But, I am reading...

I hate coming up with titles!!
Clearly I have been too busy to blog. Busy doing what, I have no damn idea. Ok, I've become addicted to that timesuck known as F@cebook. A-ddic-ted! So, how about some bullets? Everyone loves bullets, right? No? Oh well, suck it up!
- I've been hanging out with friends.
- I went to a kickass Superbowl par-tay and played Rock Band until 2am. BTW I really really suck at it and I was only playing the drums.
- Maybe the beer had something to do with that.
- I bought tickets to go see Rascal Flatts...again.
- This will be the 4th time I've seen them.
- Why are they bringing Jessica Simpson this time?
- There has been more karaoke. Really bad karaoke.
- My 3-year old started daycare for the first time.
- She had a babysitter until then.
- She loves it and gets pissed when I pick her up. Sweet kid, huh?
- Also, she has a really bad temper.
- I don't know where she gets that from.
- I have been desperately waiting on Summer.
- What else?
- Oh yeah, I met someone.

Catch-up
It's been a busy few months for me. Very busy! And, so, I give you pictures to catch you up. Yes, I am taking the easy way out, but, trust me, if I try to put it all into a post, it would take you a day to read and me more than that to write it!
So there was Halloween
Alyssa was a panda bear, Kaylie was Gabriella from HSM and that's my cousin in the background.
There was Kaylie's 8th birthday! Surprise, surprise, an HSM cake!
There has been quite a bit of karaoking (I am certain that's a word). Not sure why I look pregnant in that picture, cuz, trust me, I don't and I'm not!
There's been new friends!
Old Friends
New Year's Eve!
Alyssa's 3rd Birthday!
She thought us singing Happy Birthday to her was the funniest thing!
I've been having some good times lately! It's been a blast! And, it's only gonna get better!

Really, I'm gonna try to do this more!
Ok, so I'm sure that some of you noticed that I never continued with my story. Well, it's long and drawn out and a conclusion has come of it, so at this point, I see no reason to try to put it all into words.
Long story short, we were not gonna work things out, then it was "whatever happens, happens". Some other things happened that really caused me to reevaluate everything. And even though, I knew and do know, that he is not what I need in my life, I was willing to try.
Apparently, he was not. Chris called me about a week and a half ago and said we needed to just go ahead and get divorce. Like right now. This after he and I decided in the beginning of all this that we could stay legally married because I do not have the option of health insurance at my job. Well, that's kind of a moot point, since, well, he was fired. But, he was paying for Cobra and supposedly going to get that job back. In my opinion that is never going to happen, but that's neither here nor there. It's no longer my problem. The next girl can deal with that and all the other problems that come along with Chris.
He wants this life that I do not want and cannot give him. I'm done with spending all of my time going out to the bars with friends (basically, they are beer buddies) every single night and acting like I have no responsibilities. I don't have anything to prove to anyone and I am lucky to have friends that could care less where I work, what I drive, how much money I have or anything else for that matter. And, through all of this, I have gained 3 more of those friends. So, I've filed for divorce. It wasn't easy, I spent almost all of that night after signing the complaint crying. But, it's done. It's the beginning of a new part of my life, just one more chapter of my story. I know when I sign the actual papers and I have to go to the court to have the final divorce decree, I will probably cry. Because, it's sad. Sad that he doesn't see the person he's become. But, I can't change that, and I am done trying.
I'm moving on. If I hadn't me Chris, I wouldn't have Alyssa. I wouldn't have his family, who, by the way, I do and will continue to have a relationship with. I wouldn't have the 3 new friends that I have. Friends that continuously listen to me bitch and cry about all of this and when all is said and done, will always be there.

It's hard keeping up!
It's hard to find time to update my blog here lately! I've been really busy at work, so it's hard to try to put together coherent thoughts while the phone is ringing and the boss is asking for this or for that.
So, this past weekend was super busy, but filled with fun! Friday night was dinner and drinks with the family and then off to Fox and Hound for pool and more drinks with friends! We had a blast!
But, let me back up for a sec. Friday. I decided that I was gonna go vote early on Friday. So, I head out to one of the locations and, lo and behold, the computers that put all of your information on the card that you insert into the voting machines, were down. Of course. So, I decided to go to another location that was near. On my way, I run into traffic caused by a wreck. Someone hit a telephone pole at a busy intersection on the street that I had to use. And, there was no turning around. AHH! I finally get to the next voting location and the line? Let's just say that it would have taken me probably 1 and 1/2 hours, at least, to get through that. So, I scratched voting. When I was leaving the first location, my car started making a funny sound. It sounded like I had a flat tire. So, I pull over and check. Tires are fine. I go on my way.
The sound just kept on. I get back to work, look at my tires from the back and I have a huge something or other in my tire. Grrreat. After work, it's off to wal-hell to get the tire patched. Ack! I needed a drink after all that!
Saturday had me getting new tires. And, then, heading out to watch this NASCAR race!! If you ever get the chance to go to a race. GO! The power of those cars is unreal! If you are standing by the track when they all pass, you can feel the vibrations in your chest! It's awesome.
After the race, there was a concert. Good bands. Good beer. Then, somehow, we ended up at this local bar and there was karaoke involved. And beer. Alot of beer. And just so ya know, I CANNOT sing. At all!
But, it was a blast! It's been a long time since I've done something like that and it was great!!!

Regrets
I've spent alot of time lately looking back at my life. Thinking about things that have happened and decisions that I've made. For the most part, I have no regrets. There are some things I do regret, however.
I regret my senior year of high school. I had fun, don't get me wrong. But, I concentrated too much on having fun and not enough on school. I got horrible grades and ended up having to take senior English again in summer school. I didn't get to walk across that stage and get my diploma. I didn't get to throw my cap in the air and celebrate with my friends. I got to watch. I got to spend the summer after graduation in summer school. I, of course, passed the course in summer school, I have a high school diploma and all that. For some reason, inspite of my poor school record, I was accepted to The University of Memphis. But, again, I was too interested in having fun and going out partying. I chose not to go. Luckily, even without a college degree, I have managed to get a great job. One that pays enough. But, one day, I'd still like to get that degree.
I regret allowing myself to become so complacent the last couple of years. To ignore my feelings of being overwhelmed and stressed and putting everyone else first. I never realized how unhappy I was. And, it was my own doing. It cost me alot. It cost me 2 years. 2 years that I can't get back. But, I can look forward and make the rest of my years much better.
Other than those, I really don't regret too much. I have a home, a car, 2 beautiful kids, a good job and good friends. I'm lucky. I've got more than some people do. And I am thankful for that everyday.
Are there any things you regret?

Okay, so...
the last time I did a post was on September 11th. But the last time I did a blog post was back in July.
I guess it's been awhile. I'm not sure what all has happened since then, but I will at least try to give the highlights.
I moved into my new house with my girls. It's great, I love it, they love it, the fish love it.
Kaylie started 2nd grade shortly after we moved in. She's back at the school she went to in Kindergarten and is doing GREAT!! We had some trouble with her conduct for a little while there, but she has vastly improved. She just wouldn't keep her mouth shut. Talking, talking, talking. Don't know where the hell that comes from. She hasn't gotten her 1st report card yet, but on her mid-term progress report she had straight A's!!!
I had a birthday. And, my bff had a birthday too. Lemme tell ya, the night we celebrated both of them? Um, let's just say, it's a miracle that either one of us remember it. Of course, there is some photographic evidence.
I bought an mp3 player. Exciting, no? Ok, not really, but whateva!
Let's see, what else...
Oh, shit, that's right, I just got back from spending 5 days on the beautiful white sand beaches of Destin, Florida staring at crystal clear blue-green water and eating all the fresh seafood I could handle.
Ok, other shit has happened too, but I will get into all of it later. Sort of.

For those of you that read this post, a little update. My latest pap came back NORMAL. I have now had all but one since my cold knife cone come back normal. I go back in June, which will be considered my annual visit, and if that one comes back normal, I won't have to come back for another year. This is great news for someone that has gone for a pap too many times to count in the last 2 years!
Last night I was brushing Alyssa's teeth before bed and, lo and behold, what do I fine? My baby has 2, count 'em, 2 new teeth coming in!! Two top molars. One on each side!
Yesterday I picked Kaylie up from after-school care and she informs me that she had a nightmare the night before and wants to know if I want to know what it was about. Sure. So she tells me. Chris was picking her up from daycare. It was storming outside, really storming. And, there was an elephant, a mean elephant. He came charging toward the truck. He was a mean elephant and he was trying to kill people. He had horns.
That's it, that was the nightmare.
Now, a little background on the alleged nightmare. First of all, all day long yesterday they had been talking about the storms that we were going to get that night and today and 2 seconds before the nightmare story, Kaylie was telling me how scared she was gonna be whenever it was gonna storm. Secondly, at school they learn to read a new story each week. This week's character? You guessed it, an elephant.
The girl has got some imagination though, maybe she will be a writer one day. Or maybe she's just a big fat liar and will be a used car salesman one day, lol.
Kidding, she's waaaaaaay too smart for that!

WOW! I can't believe I had 19 comments on my last post!!!! (Well, 20, if you include my own comment) Thank you to everyone for your suggestions and I really am going to try my best to become more organized. I am tired of starting each morning out feeling rushed and feeling like I forgot to do something.
Speaking of forgetting to do something, I forgot to take something out for dinner tonight, so you see why I need to get organized!
This past weekend, Alyssa stood BY HERSELF!!! Not for long, only about 5 seconds or so, but she stood and I could tell that she really wanted to do it! I guess she will be attempting some steps soon. I'm not at all ready for that, not because she will be more mobile and into even more stuff, but because, holy crap, she's growing up waaaaaaaaay too fast and it makes me sad. I also took her bottle away from her this weekend. I had been offering her a sippy cup for the last month or so and she wanted nothing to do with it. Nothing. So, I finally decided that we were gonna quit the bottle "cold turkey" and it was much easier than I anticipated. She is now drinking out of a sippy cup!
I will leave you with a new pic.
It's not very good quality; I took it with my phone.
*****************************************EDITED**************************************
I want everyone to send out prayers for a friend of mine today. She, unfortunately, had a miscarriage last night. She was just one day or so away from that 13-week milestone. She was so excited about having her 1st baby, but, sometimes things work out differently than you plan.

Ok fellow bloggers, I need advice! I know that all of my readers are incredibly smart, otherwise, you would not be reading.
I need help getting myself, my kids, and my apartment organized. I am serious! I am not a very organized person, I never have been, and it just seems to be getting worse. I end up late for everything because at the last minute I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to get shit together!! I do not like feeling rushed but most days, it's my own fault. Did I mention that I may be a bit of a procrastinator? And a packrat? Lord I need help!
Any advice, be it personal or pointing me to a website or whatever would be greatly appreciated.
One thing for sure I need some advice on is how to get Kaylie motivated in the mornings to get herself ready.
Please!!

5 Things Meme
Well, I've been tagged by Kellie again for another Meme. This one is 5 Things About Me. I will try my hardest not to bore anyone that happens to read this to death!
**Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 5 facts about yourself. Then choose 5 people you want to tag and list their names. Then leave a comment on their blog letting them know they’ve been tagged.**
5 things about me:
1. When I lay on the couch with a blanket, if the blanket has a tag on it, it has to be on the side near my feet, not near my head. I have not idea why, it just does.
2. I recently decided to get my belly button pierced! Well, not recently, I had decided along time ago, but I finally did it!!
3. I really don't understand this, but I would love, love, love to have another baby. It's probably not gonna happen any time soon, if ever, but I would love to.
4. I love thunderstorms! Especially thunderstorms at night during the summertime. I love to sit and watch them roll in and watch the lightning.
5. I suck at writing things about myself. Like this.
OMG that was so horrible. I apologize to anyone that reads this.
Ok, so I'm gonna tag:
Amy W.
Stacey (cuz she needs something to blog about)
Casey
Vicki
CPA Mom

In most of my recent posts, I have kept most of my feelings and what's going on with my "situation" to myself, for my own reasons, but, things are changing and I feel like writing things down.
I've decided that I am no longer going to try to change Chris's mind about getting a divorce. Chris has been very wishy washy, for lack of a better word, with me in the last 2 months. He tells me that maybe we can work things out, that it may take awhile, but it could happen. Great! Then, 3 weeks later, he's changed his mind...again. But he still continues to ask me things like why did this happen and why this and why that.
If you want a divorce, WHY do you care??
I can't continue to put myself through that. It hurts me too much. Don't get me wrong, I still love Chris with all of my heart, but I am beginning to realize some things about him. This whole situation is showing me how selfish he can be. HE is the one that wanted to have Alyssa (I don't regret our decision and I never will, please don't think that) and get married because, and I quote, "it was the right thing to do". Now, my close friends that know me know that I have never believed that little saying. I have never agreed with getting married simply because you got someone pregnant. I married Chris because I was in love with him, no other reason. Sure, it happened sooner than we expected because I did get pregnant, but I was in love. It seems to me that Chris cannot and does not want to handle the responsibiltiy of being a full-time husband and father. Thats fine. That is his decision, but it should've been made along time ago, before he allowed my daughter and his daughter to become involved. They shouldn't have had to go through this. He can tell me all day long that the reason he wants a divorce is because I lied to him. I think that's bullshit. He was just looking for an out and he found one.
I've spent the last 2 months thinking about everything over and over again and I can't keep doing that. Like I said, I still love Chris and I wish that we could work things out, but he can't handle it and I can't force him to. I have to move on with my life for my sake and my daughters' sakes.
It will be a long time before I get involved with anyone else. I'm just not ready for anything like that. I do want a family, a husband, my kids, hanging out at home just watching tv and playing, but I still would like to have that with Chris and I'm finally coming to grips with the fact that it is not going to happen.
*************************************************************************************
I took Alyssa for her 1 year checkup yesterday and my poor baby did not enjoy it. When I picked her up from the babysitter, she felt a little warm. We get to the dr and they prick her finger to check her iron, which was great, and that pissed her off. She would calm down a little bit and then she would look at the band-aid on her little finger and just get all upset again. Made me want to cry with her. She's healthy, she's growing. She's 16 pounds, 12 ounces. On the small side, but her doctor is ok with it. She was running a fever though, a small one, but a fever. She has an ear infection and a cough and snot for days. But, we will get her antibiotics and she will be feeling great and ready for her birthday party on Saturday. I can't wait for that!

Ok, so I've been tagged by Kellie to give you all 6 weird things about me. I really don't think I'm weird, but I will try.
Here are the rules - Each player of this game starts with the "6 Weird Things about You." People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says 'you are tagged' in their comments and tell them to read your blog!"
On to my weirdness:
1. Whenever I eat fast food, I have to eat the french fries first. I have no idea why I do this, but I do.
2. I cannot stand peanut butter or jelly and therefore have never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I like to eat peanuts though.
3. I play with my hair when I am nervous or bored. I do it to the point that my arm will hurt. I have done this for years. My dad always used to get mad at me for it.
4. I have massive amounts of shower gels and lotions in my bathroom. I rarely, if ever, use any of them, but I still buy more and don't throw any away very often. I might use them, you never know.
5. I like to put hot sauce on popcorn. This may not be weird, but me and my best friend are the only people I know that do this.
6. I cannot stand movie theatre popcorn, it has too much butter. I still eat it though.
Ok, see, I'm not weird at all! There really is no one left to tag because I think that everyone has done this already.
I would've done it sooner, but Alyssa was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. She's out now and feeling wonderful, but it was pretty scary for me. I've never dealt with that before. Thank you to everyone who left a sweet comment on my last post hoping for her to get better. She's back to her normal, happy, playing self. Thank you God!!!!!!
