I hate coming up with titles!!

Clearly I have been too busy to blog. Busy doing what, I have no damn idea. Ok, I've become addicted to that timesuck known as F@cebook. A-ddic-ted! So, how about some bullets? Everyone loves bullets, right? No? Oh well, suck it up!

  • I've been hanging out with friends.
  • I went to a kickass Superbowl par-tay and played Rock Band until 2am. BTW I really really suck at it and I was only playing the drums.
  • Maybe the beer had something to do with that.
  • I bought tickets to go see Rascal Flatts...again.
  • This will be the 4th time I've seen them.
  • Why are they bringing Jessica Simpson this time?
  • There has been more karaoke. Really bad karaoke.
  • My 3-year old started daycare for the first time.
  • She had a babysitter until then.
  • She loves it and gets pissed when I pick her up. Sweet kid, huh?
  • Also, she has a really bad temper.
  • I don't know where she gets that from.
  • I have been desperately waiting on Summer.
  • What else?
  • Oh yeah, I met someone.

Catch-up

It's been a busy few months for me. Very busy! And, so, I give you pictures to catch you up. Yes, I am taking the easy way out, but, trust me, if I try to put it all into a post, it would take you a day to read and me more than that to write it!

So there was Halloween

Alyssa was a panda bear, Kaylie was Gabriella from HSM and that's my cousin in the background.

There was Kaylie's 8th birthday! Surprise, surprise, an HSM cake!

There has been quite a bit of karaoking (I am certain that's a word). Not sure why I look pregnant in that picture, cuz, trust me, I don't and I'm not!

There's been new friends!

Old Friends

New Year's Eve!

Alyssa's 3rd Birthday!

She thought us singing Happy Birthday to her was the funniest thing!

I've been having some good times lately! It's been a blast! And, it's only gonna get better!

Really, I'm gonna try to do this more!

Ok, so I'm sure that some of you noticed that I never continued with my story. Well, it's long and drawn out and a conclusion has come of it, so at this point, I see no reason to try to put it all into words.

Long story short, we were not gonna work things out, then it was "whatever happens, happens". Some other things happened that really caused me to reevaluate everything. And even though, I knew and do know, that he is not what I need in my life, I was willing to try.

Apparently, he was not. Chris called me about a week and a half ago and said we needed to just go ahead and get divorce. Like right now. This after he and I decided in the beginning of all this that we could stay legally married because I do not have the option of health insurance at my job. Well, that's kind of a moot point, since, well, he was fired. But, he was paying for Cobra and supposedly going to get that job back. In my opinion that is never going to happen, but that's neither here nor there. It's no longer my problem. The next girl can deal with that and all the other problems that come along with Chris.

He wants this life that I do not want and cannot give him. I'm done with spending all of my time going out to the bars with friends (basically, they are beer buddies) every single night and acting like I have no responsibilities. I don't have anything to prove to anyone and I am lucky to have friends that could care less where I work, what I drive, how much money I have or anything else for that matter. And, through all of this, I have gained 3 more of those friends. So, I've filed for divorce. It wasn't easy, I spent almost all of that night after signing the complaint crying. But, it's done. It's the beginning of a new part of my life, just one more chapter of my story. I know when I sign the actual papers and I have to go to the court to have the final divorce decree, I will probably cry. Because, it's sad. Sad that he doesn't see the person he's become. But, I can't change that, and I am done trying.

I'm moving on. If I hadn't me Chris, I wouldn't have Alyssa. I wouldn't have his family, who, by the way, I do and will continue to have a relationship with. I wouldn't have the 3 new friends that I have. Friends that continuously listen to me bitch and cry about all of this and when all is said and done, will always be there.

It's hard keeping up!

It's hard to find time to update my blog here lately! I've been really busy at work, so it's hard to try to put together coherent thoughts while the phone is ringing and the boss is asking for this or for that.

So, this past weekend was super busy, but filled with fun! Friday night was dinner and drinks with the family and then off to Fox and Hound for pool and more drinks with friends! We had a blast!

But, let me back up for a sec. Friday. I decided that I was gonna go vote early on Friday. So, I head out to one of the locations and, lo and behold, the computers that put all of your information on the card that you insert into the voting machines, were down. Of course. So, I decided to go to another location that was near. On my way, I run into traffic caused by a wreck. Someone hit a telephone pole at a busy intersection on the street that I had to use. And, there was no turning around. AHH! I finally get to the next voting location and the line? Let's just say that it would have taken me probably 1 and 1/2 hours, at least, to get through that. So, I scratched voting. When I was leaving the first location, my car started making a funny sound. It sounded like I had a flat tire. So, I pull over and check. Tires are fine. I go on my way.

The sound just kept on. I get back to work, look at my tires from the back and I have a huge something or other in my tire. Grrreat. After work, it's off to wal-hell to get the tire patched. Ack! I needed a drink after all that!

Saturday had me getting new tires. And, then, heading out to watch this NASCAR race!! If you ever get the chance to go to a race. GO! The power of those cars is unreal! If you are standing by the track when they all pass, you can feel the vibrations in your chest! It's awesome.

After the race, there was a concert. Good bands. Good beer. Then, somehow, we ended up at this local bar and there was karaoke involved. And beer. Alot of beer. And just so ya know, I CANNOT sing. At all!

But, it was a blast! It's been a long time since I've done something like that and it was great!!!

My little girl is growing up. My 1st born. On Monday when I picked her up from school she informed me that she had to call someone when we got home. I was thinking she wanted to call her father. Turns out, that's not the case. She had gotten a friend from school's phone number and was going to call HIM!!!!! That's right, HIM! I knew that at some point she was going to start wanting to use the phone but I figured she would be calling up some little girls, not boys!

She ended up losing the phone number somehow and then left it at school last night so she hasn't been able to make this phone call. I'm not sure if I should let her or not. I know that it is completely innocent, but it really freaks me out. Scares me. I want more time with her before she starts discovering boys. She is only 6!!!!. Also, she does talk about this particular boy alot and I've seen him in the class picture and he is cute, but I just don't know.

Ok fellow bloggers, I need advice! I know that all of my readers are incredibly smart, otherwise, you would not be reading.

I need help getting myself, my kids, and my apartment organized. I am serious! I am not a very organized person, I never have been, and it just seems to be getting worse. I end up late for everything because at the last minute I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to get shit together!! I do not like feeling rushed but most days, it's my own fault. Did I mention that I may be a bit of a procrastinator? And a packrat? Lord I need help!

Any advice, be it personal or pointing me to a website or whatever would be greatly appreciated.

One thing for sure I need some advice on is how to get Kaylie motivated in the mornings to get herself ready.

Please!!

Very proud!

This weekend was a pretty good weekend for me and my girls. Of course, we had Alyssa's 1st birthday party and I will tell you about that and probably have some pics later.

But...

On Friday night, I picked up Kaylie from school, picked up Alyssa from Chris and went home. Of course, as soon as I got home I realized that I still had not dropped of Alyssa prescription for her ear infection. So, back out we all go. Thank goodness it was not raining (it did most of the weekend) and was nice out (65ish degrees). We go to the closest Walgreens to drop off the script. We go in and I give it to them and they tell me it will be an hour and a half before it's ready. WTF!?! So I said ok and we go back home. We all eat dinner and I'm waiting on 8:30 to get close so that we can go back to get the medicine. Alyssa was getting fussy and was obviously ready to go to bed.

We go back and, of course, the line at the pharmacy is about 10 miles long. So we wait and wait and wait. We finally get to the front of the line and, don't you know, it wasn't even ready yet! I should say that the girls were behaving very very well the whole time, which helped. They finally get it ready and we leave, again, and head home. We get home and get pjs on and take medicine and Kaylie tells me she wants to read the library book she go from school before bed.

Ok, fine with me. We all get into Kaylie's bed. Ok, Alyssa stayed there for about 2.5 seconds and then wanted down. But, Kaylie opens the book and, much to my surprise and amazement, she started reading the book to me!!!!!!!!! My baby has learned how to read!!! OMG!!! She still needed help on a few of the words, but she read me the entire book. I cannot tell you how proud I am of this. I knew it was going to happen but the only things she was reading to me were little books that she and her classmates had put together, so I was thinking she was just remembering what the stories were.

Not so!!! I'm so excited for her and she was so happy to be able to show me that she could read. I can't wait for her to read another book to me. It was great that I was the one she wanted to share that with.

I know I haven't been blogging much lately, but I haven't had much to blog about. I still haven't put up my Christmas tree, but I plan to this weekend. I was thinking that my tree was somewhere in the garage at Chris's house, but he went through and brought me some things that were in there and he couldn't find it. Luckily, my aunt has one she is not using, so I plan to pick that up this weekend.

I still haven't done any Christmas shopping!! Every year, I say, I'm gonna start early, and then I never do. But, I'm gonna try to get some done this weekend. The only problem is I am not sure where I will be able to hide the stuff that I buy. Kaylie is a nosy little thing, so...

She's also hard to shop for. The older she gets, the worse it gets. She's not picky or anything like that, but I want to get her stuff that she will play with or use, so, this year, I'm thinking about things she can do with her hands, like painting and coloring and things like that. She likes doing that sort of thing. Alyssa will be easy to shop for, walk down the baby toy aisle and just put stuff in the basket.

That's really just it for now, my life is totally boring at the moment.
